Free Spay/Neuter Day for Pit Bulls

Our pals at Underdog ResQ are once again co sponsoring a FREE Spay/Neuter day for Pit Bulls.

Low income Boston residents are eligible and should call 617-541-5083 to make an appointment.  

Let the receptionist know you are calling for the Free Pit Bull Spay/Neuter Day.

Surgeries will be performed at the MSPCA Shalit Glazer Clinic. The procedure includes the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, heartworm test, 1 dose of Heartgard, and a nail trim and ear cleaning.

WELLPET LLC VOLUNTARILY RECALLS

CERTAIN LOTS OF CANNED CAT FOOD

No Other Lots, Products or Dates Affected

Dear WellPet Customer,

Recent testing on lots of our Wellness^® canned cat food products has indicated that specific lots of these products might contain less than adequate levels of thiamine (also known as Vitamin B1). While this is an isolated incidence, we have taken additional steps in our manufacturing process to ensure that this does not happen again.

Cats fed only these products over time could be at risk for developing thiamine deficiency. Although the risk for thiamine deficiency is remote, we are taking the extra precaution of voluntarily removing these products from store shelves. We are asking for the return of the following products:

·         Wellness Canned Cat Food (all flavors and sizes) with “BEST BY” dates from 14APR13 through 30SEP13

·         Wellness Canned Cat Food Chicken & Herring (all sizes) with a “BEST BY” date of 10NOV13 and 17NOV13.

We are asking consumers to contact Stericycle ExpertRECALL directly if they believe they have the recalled product. Consumers will receive reimbursement by calling the recall hotline at  

(877) 227-9587.
